Therapeutic retreat in ThailandGoing awayto rebuild, together

We believe travel can help people rebuild their lives, through encounter, nature and the strength of a group. Two long retreats, guided by professionals, to breathe, understand and start again.

Our symbol

Bounce back, then dive in

Our logo tells a journey. The line touches the ground, bounces back, gathers momentum, then dives into the circle: water, the group, a life starting again. This is the movement we support over four weeks.

  1. The bounceYou hit bottom, and you get back up.
  2. The momentumThe group and nature give you strength again.
  3. The diveAt last you dare to leap. Set free.

Our conviction

What heals is often what connects us

Encounter

With a guide who truly listens, with strangers who become close, with Thai hosts whose kindness disarms.

Nature

The sea at dawn, the farm's soil, the heat that calls for an afternoon rest. Nature brings the body back to the centre.

The group

Six to eight people moving forward together for a month. What you cannot do alone becomes possible.

Our retreats

Two places, one method

Four weeks is longer than most retreats. It is the time it takes to truly unwind, then change something lasting.

The sea as far as the eye can see

Here, time finds its true measure again

Boats come in with the tide, the sky changes three times a day, and you end up breathing at the same pace.

A typical day

Early starts, and rest when it is hot

The day follows the sun. Activities happen in the cool morning and late afternoon, with two to three hours of rest in between.

A talking circle meets every day. The rest of the time alternates farm work, meditation, yoga, art therapy and philosophical exercises.

The coloured band follows the heat of the day: cool at dawn, peaking between noon and 3 pm, when everyone rests.

Four weeks, four stages

  1. Arrive

Slow down, sleep, settle in. Get to know the place and the group.

  2. Explore

Put words to what weighs on you, in the talking circle and one-to-one sessions.

  3. Transform

Try new ways of being. Daily practices become habits.

  4. Integrate

Prepare for the return with a concrete personal plan and remote follow-up.

Living in Thailand?

An expat at a dead end? Take a real break

Isolation, disillusionment, a plan that has run out of steam. Many expats recognise themselves. Our retreats are just a domestic trip away.

From the guest book

They stayed at La Parenthèse au Vert

Before Partons Ensemble came La Parenthèse au Vert, the pilot project Christophe Froeliger founded in France: two-to-three-week stays in a small group for people going through burnout or a depressive episode. Here is what some of them wrote (translated from French). The first retreats in Thailand have not yet taken place.

Handwritten guest book page by Hélène

“The first days were tears […], sleep that would not come […] and a mind boiling over all the time. Little by little, with the morning exercises, I came back into my body and I can finally breathe. I can smell the cooking and I am hungry.”

Handwritten rainbow-coloured thank-you card

“A thousand thanks, from the heart, for what this stay with you has strengthened and transformed in me.”

Bernard's handwritten message in the guest book

“Watch out, it's addictive! Thank you again for your kind and always rich welcome. Always rich in encounters. Take care of yourselves as you take care of others.”
